Don’t come after me like this oh my god
Nobody seems to be asking the real questions.
Out of the “top three” boys in good morning call, why have we only seen two?
One of the aspects that I like in shounen manga is the depiction of strong women which supports her ‘significant others’. As a mother and a wife myself, I can relate to this theme very well. In the life outside the manga, a “significant others” is not just someone that you love. It’s way beyond that. That’s why I love how Roy and Riza’s relationship is depicted throughout the FMA series.
Mind you, it’s not that kind of lovey-dovey character with overblown romance proportion. It’s subtle, yet visible through those who observe. It’s gentle, yet strong when you can feel it by reading their moments after moments.
Her responsibility does not end only in the kitchen and kids. She’ll be the one glue that sticks all the family members together (should they ever have one). And most importantly, she’ll be that one light which keeps her loved one in the right path.
She’ll protect his back, in the truest form of “protection” —not because he need to be protected physically, rather because he need someone who will put him back, in case he choose the wrong path… Men is known for their strength —they need women (the right women) to complement their strength and to keep them in line.
The one who will not hesitate to make opinion and to stand equal for the greater good. The one who will not stutter and turn into insecure girl when it comes to make things right…
Though sometimes she have to plea for him to understand…
No matter how bitter the decision would be…
…and the realization thereafter, if such decision were to be made…
These are the characters that I highly regards. The female characters that I would proudly refer to and be proud of her fans. She does not stutter and timid in front of her loved one. She does not afraid to speak up her mind for her loved one.
Fierce and strong in their own rights, yet gentle when the feminine side of her is shown…
